The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has approved a single-dose vaccine made by Janssen, and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said it is now authorised for use in the UK to protect against Covid-19.

General Medical Council (GMC) Chair Dame Clare Marx has announced new targets to tackle inequality and discrimination, as GMC data show disproportionate fitness to practise referrals of ethnic minority doctors from employers, and unequal outcomes in education and training.
