More practices rated “Outstanding” by CQC

Following the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC’s) publication of the latest batch of 95 reports on the quality of care provided by GP practices, three more practices have been rated “Outstanding”.

Funding for NHS mental health trusts falling

According to research by Community Care and BBC News, funding for NHS trusts to provide mental health services has fallen by more than 8.25% in real terms over the course of this parliament.

Care Identity Service introduced

50 million Summary Care Records reached

The Health & Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has announced that, as of February 2015, the milestone figure of 50 million Summary Care Records (SCRs) has been reached. The centre points out that, thanks to the SCR programme, the NHS can now safely share key clinical information for nine out of ten people across England to support safer patient care.
