The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) has advised the Government that there has been “no change in the circumstances upon which the fourth carbon budget (2023–2027) was originally set in 2011 that would justify a lowering of ambition”.
Greg Barker, Minister of State at DECC, last week announced new plans to improve and increase support for the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and improved rates for domestic RHIs. The scheme aims to bridge the gap between the cost of fossil fuel heat sources and renewable heat alternatives by increasing tariff support for RHI installations.
The third annual NHS Sustainability Day will take place on 27 March 2014. It is supported by the Prime Minister, Health Ministers, Public Health England and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, as well as many organisations and professionals, all of whom are committed to ensuring the NHS can deliver a sustainable model for the future.
