Defra to cease funding contaminated land work

The Defra-funded Contaminated Land Capital Grants Scheme will be shut down on 1 April 2017, according to a letter from Parliamentary Under Secretary Lord de Mauley to all English Local Authorities.

CCC: no change to Climate Change Act required

Renewable Heat Incentive gets a boost

Greg Barker, Minister of State at DECC, last week announced new plans to improve and increase support for the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and improved rates for domestic RHIs. The scheme aims to bridge the gap between the cost of fossil fuel heat sources and renewable heat alternatives by increasing tariff support for RHI installations.

Informal agreement on car CO2 emissions reduction
