The Department for Transport (DfT) has published The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009: Authorisation 992.

Available here, this is given in accordance with Regulation 12 of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009.

It allows dangerous goods driver training to be delivered remotely to candidates who are applying for, or refreshing, an International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) driver training certificate in line with the provisions set out in ADR chapter 8.2.

This training includes the theory and individual practical elements required under that chapter and takes effect from 1 January 2022. It will remain in force until 30 June 2022.

The DfT has also published The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009: Authorisation 1007.

This can be found here and is also given in accordance with Regulation 12 of the 2009 Regulations.

It allows dangerous goods driver training, including both theory and individual practical elements required under ADR Chapter 8.2, to be delivered remotely to candidates who are applying for or refreshing an ADR Driver Training Certificate in line with the provisions set out in that Chapter.

This authorisation extends authorisation 992 from 1 July until 31 December 2022.
