Bus Users and First South Yorkshire have joined forces for an online event, “Let’s Talk Buses”, to be held on 14 January 2021 at 2pm.

With millions of people relying on buses to make essential journeys, this event is designed to give passengers across South Yorkshire a chance to talk directly to those who run their local services.

They will be able to ask questions, raise concerns and offer feedback to representatives from First South Yorkshire and Bus Users. Questions can be submitted in advance, so everyone has the opportunity to have their say, and any issues outside the scope of First Bus or Bus Users will be passed on to the relevant bodies.

Dawn Badminton-Capps, Director for Bus Users in England, said: “Buses have been a lifeline to millions of people throughout the pandemic, ensuring keyworkers can get to where they are needed and the rest of us can continue to make essential journeys. Operators like First South Yorkshire have been working tirelessly to make passengers feel safe and confident about travelling.”

This will be a great opportunity for passengers to have their say, raise concerns and offer feedback on these vital services, she went on.

Free to join and open to anyone, full details of the Zoom event can be found at

Nigel Eggleton, Managing Director at First South Yorkshire, said: “We welcome all feedback from customers using our services, especially now while we are working through the pandemic which is a difficult time for everyone.”
