The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has published more guidelines in its COVID-19 Rapid Guideline series of information for healthcare practitioners on maximising the safety of patients during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Rapid Guideline series also gives information on protecting staff from COVID-19 infection and enables services to make the best use of NHS resources.

The newly added guides comprise:

"COVID-19 rapid guideline: rheumatological autoimmune, inflammatory and metabolic bone disorders": https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng167

"COVID-19 rapid guideline: acute myocardial injury": https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng171

"COVID-19 rapid guideline: gastrointestinal and liver conditions treated with drugs affecting the immune response": https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng172

NICE has developed these recommendations in direct response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, and could not therefore follow the standard process for guidance development.
