The Government is seeking views on its Waste Management Plan for England, particularly whether it meets the obligations of the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 and whether the conclusions of the environmental report are fair.
The plan is a compilation of existing waste management policies and does not introduce new waste management measures. It covers existing major disposal and recovery installations, including any special arrangements for waste oils, hazardous waste, waste containing significant amounts of critical raw materials, or waste streams addressed by specific legislation.
Responses to the consultation should be made via consult.defra.gov.uk/waste-and-recycling/wastemanagement-plan-for-england by 15 October 2020.
