Glad to Care Awareness Week is running from 20 to 24 June this year, where the “wonderful efforts” of those working in the care industry are being celebrated.

Person Centred Software, a global company developing technology for the care sector, launched their #GladtoCare campaign in 2018, designed to boost the profile of carers who, they say, work extremely hard with very little public recognition.

The company first created a #GladtoCare Awareness Week in 2020, aiming to celebrating those who work in the care sector during “an incredibly trying period for the industry”.

The aim of this year’s #GladtoCare Awareness Week is to continue to shine a light on all of the incredible work that has been done, and continues to be done, by carers within the social care sector, and to provide the public with support on how best to choose a care home for their loved ones.

The campaign’s aim is to show carers that they are appreciated and to raise their morale.

Throughout the week there is a variety of activities that people can join, from Motivation Monday and Tasty Tuesday to Welcome Wednesday, Thankful Thursday and Feel Good Friday.

All activities on the Glad to Care website are designed to get the entire care community and care home residents involved.
