Championing the UK’s road transport industry, National Lorry Week will run this year from 23 to 29 October 2023, with its main sponsor the Road Haulage Association (RHA) promising that it will explore the future of road transport and showcase how the industry is constantly evolving with cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices.
Returning for a ninth time, the Week will feature a roadshow travelling across the four nations of the UK for four weeks, showcasing the industry and everything it has to offer.
“We will celebrate the incredible people who make this sector what it is, and demonstrate that it is greener, cleaner and more technology-driven than ever before,” the RHA said. “By engaging with members, industry partners, schools, colleges, and Government, we will celebrate sustainability and showcase the latest in eco-friendly vehicles, fuels, and warehousing innovations that are driving positive change.”

The industry is using the events during Lorry Week, and the month of October generally, to drive awareness of the career opportunities within the logistics sector in order to raise awareness among young people in particular.
As part of the events, the RHA’s-branded, fully wrapped lorry will tour towns across the UK, visiting MPs and schools to educate and inform them about the industry.
The RHA is asking firms to promote National Lorry Week on their social media channels and across their networks, using the hashtag #NationalLorryWeek.
