The Business Models workstream for the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has published a refreshed suite of contractual guidance and templates, bringing all documents into one place to support the industry in light of the evolving Covid-19 pandemic.

The updates build upon the previously issued guidance which called for strategic collaboration between clients and the supply chain to avoid systemic market failures and compromised project delivery.

The set of documents provides a starting point for all parties to construction contracts as to how they will deal with Covid-19, or any future pandemic in the years ahead.

Emphasis is placed on future-proofing contracts to ensure that, if circumstances change, parties take a collaborative approach.

The full set of contractual guidance and templates can be found here.

The online resource provides updates and brings all guidance and corresponding templates into one place, in an easy-to-use navigable format for reference.

It also provides additional templates — to allow parties to conclude their collaboration as a formal adjustment to their contracts — and a range of templates to support those at different stages of their contracts.

Steve Bratt, Chairman of the Business Models workstream, said: “Over the last 18 months, the CLC has advocated for responsible and fair behaviour in both existing and future contractual arrangements to secure the long-term health of the construction industry”.
