The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published a list of Carriage of Dangerous Goods prohibition notices issued by the police, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or the Department for Transport for October — December 2020.
In October 2020 there were 40 notices issued, November 2020 had 39 and December 2020 had 23 issued. Most were from the DVSA and related to fire extinguishers, transport documentation and inadequate equipment.
Other notices were issued for many different failures including inadequate provision of fire extinguishers and lack of Instructions in Writing (IiW), as well as lack of equipment and incorrectly completed transport document.
