The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published a list of Carriage of Dangerous Goods prohibition notices issued by the police, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or the Department for Transport for April, May and June 2019.

There were 55 prohibition notices issued in April, 55 also in May and 38 in June. The DVSA issued most of the notices, with others being issued by Thames Valley Police, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Hampshire Police and Suffolk Constabulary amongst others.

The notices were issued for many different failures including inadequate provision of fire extinguishers and lack of Instructions in Writing (IiW), as well as lack of equipment and incorrectly completed transport document.
