Haulage body approves of driver licensing changes

The call for evidence by the Department for Transport (DfT) about changes to the driver licensing rules has been welcomed by Logistics UK, with its Road Freight Regulation Policy Manager, Chris Yarsley, highlighting that its members have reported particular difficulties in recruiting drivers for vehicles up to 7.5t since the requirement for an additional test came into force in 1997.
