Royal Mail loses agency worker status appeal

The Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) has dismissed an appeal lodged by Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd and Royal Mail Group Ltd against the Employment Tribunal’s decision that Mr D Kocur was an agency worker within the meaning of the Agency Workers Regulations 2010.

Manston Airport to become international freight hub

The Department for Transport has granted permission for Manston Airport in Kent to be transformed into an international air freight hub and passenger airfield. Construction will begin in 2021 with the Airport operating its first cargo services in the first quarter of 2023.

The requirement for practices to set aside a minimum of one in 500 appointments for NHS 111 direct booking has been extended until 30 September 2020 "at the earliest", according to NHS England, after the emergency regulations that mandated the requirement lapsed at the end of June.
