UK seeks views on proposed new trade deal with Switzerland

The UK Government has opened negotiations on an enhanced free trade agreement with what it describes as a “fellow services superpower”, Switzerland. In 2020, the UK was the second-largest exporter of services to the world, with exports worth £266.8 billion; Switzerland was 12th largest, with £89.6 billion.

Families plan legal action against the Welsh Government following High Court ruling

Following a High Court ruling last week that found discharging untested patients from hospitals to care homes in England at the beginning of the pandemic to be unlawful, a solicitor representing 350 families who lost loved ones to Covid-19 said it is likely they will look to bring legal action against the Welsh Government.

UK announces new trade measures to support Ukraine

The Government has announced that the UK is to cut tariffs on all goods from Ukraine to zero under the UK-Ukraine free trade agreement (FTA), providing, it said, much-needed economic support to the country in its war with Russia.
