identify the parts of the body at risk
state how high levels of vibration can result in harm
identify the main health effects from exposure to high levels of vibration.
Explain that hand–arm vibration is a form of vibration that is transmitted to the hands and arms by vibrating equipment. Hand–arm vibration is a widespread hazard for employees in many industries and occupations.
Ask the group what pieces of equipment they think could cause hand–arm vibration and record the results on a flipchart.
