This activity takes the form of two role-play scenarios concerning:
an employee whose stress is caused by circumstances unconnected with work.
Either or both may be used, depending on time available and — if only one is used — on which is considered more suitable. Alternatively, trainers may wish to devise their own scenarios based around situations of particular relevance to the organisation — or group of participants — in question. The same general points should emerge, in addition to any points specific to such scenarios.
The role plays can be conducted either in plenary or, if facilities are available, in syndicate groups to allow a greater number of delegates to participate actively.
