By the end of the session the trainee will be able to:

• recognise Hearing Protection Zones

• identify the types of hearing protection available on site

• understand the relationship between usage and noise dose.

Hearing Protection Zones

Emphasise that personal hearing protection should only be used where:

• there is a need to provide additional protection beyond that achieved by noise control measures, or

• as an interim measure while control measures are implemented.
