  • managers’ duties in terms of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR)

  • the role of management in supporting the manual handling policy

  • the role of management in ensuring agreed systems of work

  • supervising employees with regard to manual handling

  • disciplinary action for safety offences.
