Ergonomics

Discuss the ergonomic approach of reducing the risk of injury in terms of legislation

Explain the concept of reducing the risk of injury by adopting an ergonomic approach and relate this to regulation 4(1)(b)(ii) of the MHOR which deals with reduction of risk of injury. Define the ergonomic approach. One possible definition is the process of “fitting the job to the person, rather than the person to the job”.
