Gill Switalski, a former asset management legal head at London firm F&C, won a workplace bullying claim, and the appeal, against her former employers in 2008. Ms Switalski settled for an undisclosed multi-million-pound sum in compensation in 2010.
In 2008, the employment tribunal ruled that sexual discrimination, harassment and victimisation at work had damaged Ms Switalski’s health and left her unfit to fulfil her role at F&C.
