By the end of the session, trainees should understand:
the components of effective health and safety management
their responsibilities in terms of the health and safety policy
the legal requirements for effective health and safety management, including employers’ duties.
The HSE’s HSG65 Managing for Health and Safety was revised in 2013 and promotes the Plan, Do, Check, Act approach to managing health and safety. The document deals with how to adopt this approach in practice.
