At the end of this session trainees will:

  • understand what actions to take on discovery of a fire in their premises

  • understand what actions to take in the event of the sounding of the fire-alarm

  • know the basic action plan for the home.

Common Features of Fire Procedures

Stress the importance of emergency evacuation procedures

Tell the trainees that it is important for all employees to know what actions they should take if a fire breaks out, and that is the reason why fire or emergency evacuation procedures are so important. Fire procedure notices will usually be found adjacent to fire-alarm call points as well as on the noticeboards.
