  • why dangerous substances need to be controlled

  • what the main requirements of DSEAR are

  • the basic responsibilities under legislation.

Welcome and Introduction

Welcome trainees and discuss administrative and domestic arrangements

Welcome the trainees. Outline the administrative and domestic arrangements, ie breaks, meals, fire procedures, location of toilets, smoking (vaping) arrangements, phones, messages, etc.

Conduct trainer and trainee introductions

If trainees do not know one another, ask them to give their names and job titles, and to indicate their involvement with dangerous substances.
