Employees must have the right to:
ensure that any industrial action in which they take part is lawful and endorsed by their union
report for work during industrial action by others if they are not involved in it
not engage in unlawful picketing
not engage in unofficial industrial action
gain their employer’s permission before attending union workplace meetings.
belong or to choose not to belong to a union (this also extends to prospective employees)
take part in the union’s activities at any reasonable time
not be refused employment or discriminated against for a reason which relates to a prohibited list (ie, because their names appear on a blacklist of known trade union activists)
