Introduction

In the interests of the health, safety and comfort of employees and customers, and to comply with legislation, the organisation operates a no smoking policy. Any employee found to be smoking on the premises will be subject to disciplinary action.

The Purpose of this Policy

It is illegal under the Health Act 2006 (and regulations made under that Act) to expose a person in an enclosed or a substantially enclosed workplace or an enclosed company vehicle to second-hand smoke.
