The regional manager of an up-and-coming supermarket chain is seeking to terminate the contract of an employee who has been employed to help run the shop’s burgeoning trade in internet grocery shopping.

The site has been doing extremely well and crucially, due to the efficiency of most of the staff working on it, the sales figures have overtaken the nearest rivals.

The manager, however, now wants to get rid of this employee as soon as possible because since her contract commenced 18 months ago, she has performed poorly and the manager is concerned that this performance is now having a detrimental effect on the performance of the team.
