What a Domiciliary Care Contract Should Include

Care service owners and managers should include the following in their contracts or statements of terms and conditions in response to their understanding of the person’s needs, wishes and preferences. The list is not exhaustive. There should be nothing in the document that the user or their representatives cannot easily understand or to which they might find difficulty in agreeing. The final statement should reflect a sense of partnership.

  • Care and support:

    • the care and services to be provided

    • information for contacting the service’s management or other representatives over care and support issues
