What a Care Home Contract Should Include

Care providers should consider including the following in their contracts and statements of terms and conditions in line with current the relevant care regulations and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance (2018) to ensure that their contracts are comprehensive and fair. The list is not exhaustive.

  • Accommodation:

    • the room or rooms to be occupied and information about the accommodation, including a list of the furniture and fittings

    • arrangements for the service to bring personal possessions into the home, including any conditions attached to them such as PAT testing of electrical items.
