This policy sets out the values, principles and procedures underpinning this domiciliary care service’s approach to maintaining the security of a service user’s home and for seeking emergency access if there is no response to a routine visit.
The care service recognises that home care and support workers should ensure the security and safety of service users and their homes at all times when visiting.
The policy is written in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, particularly Regulations:
12: Safe Care and Treatment
13: Safeguarding Service Users from Abuse and Improper Treatment.
