Policy Statement
This policy sets out the values, principles and procedures underpinning this care at home agency’s approach to the discovery that a service user for whom it is responsible for providing a service is missing at the point of the scheduled service delivery.
The policy is in line with the requirements of the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and the national health and care standards, My Support, My Life. These standards emphasise that people using services should be confident that staff providing their care and support and the care providing organisation will fully protect them from harm in line with their duty of care.
