Please note that all the policies on Navigate-Care are templates and should be amended to fit the requirements of your care service.

The whistleblowing policy can be invoked by staff if they consider that any concerns they have about the welfare of service users are not being satisfactorily addressed by the care provider. The policy can also apply to service users and other stakeholders, who consider that their concerns about residents’ welfare can only be addressed through some form of public interest disclosure.

The policy is written in line with the national health and care standards, My Support, My Life, which emphasise that people using services should be confident about the intentions and integrity of the staff providing their care and support and the care providing organisation.
