If you as a staff member suspect or aware of a service user being abused you should carry out the following.
You may suspect that a service user is being abused if, for example:
a service user tells you
you see or hear a person being abused
you hear from some other person that a service user has been or is subject to abuse.
If you have any concerns or suspicions that anyone is being abused you must report them to your line manager for further investigation.
