Labour protection in Russia is a complex system for ensuring safe and healthy working conditions. This includes legal, socio-economic, organisational, preventive, safety, hygienic and technical measures.
The principles of the Russian health and safety system are broadly similar to the British system and are based on the Constitution, the Labour Code and a large number of regulations and decrees.
State administration of occupational health and safety is exercised by the Government of the Russian Federation directly, or by the federal executive power body responsible for legal regulation in the field of labour.
