A route operated privately by Midlands Expressway Ltd, the M6 Toll, or M6toll, also called the Birmingham North Relief Road, forms a loop to the existing M6 motorway. From the south, drivers can join the road either directly from the M42, just prior to junction 9, or through junction 3a of the M6. From the north, access is from junction 11a of the M6.
