Policy Statement

This policy is intended to set out the values, principles and policies underpinning this care agency’s approach to meeting National Minimum Standard 18 for Domiciliary Care Agencies in Wales — Requirements of the Job. The standard requires agencies to make sure that:

  • all managers and staff have a written job description person and work specification, identifying their responsibilities and accountabilities

  • all staff have a copy of a Staff Handbook, which will include the agency’s grievance and disciplinary procedure

  • staff agree to adhere to the Social Care Wales Code of Conduct for Social Care Workers and will have a copy of the code
