This policy sets out the values, principles and policies underpinning this care service’s approach to recruitment and selection of its staff to comply with Regulation 19: Fit and Proper Persons Employed of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, and other applicable legislation, including the Equality Act 2010, and the requirement from November 2021 for staff over the age of 18 employed in a care home to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless medically exempt.
