The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS ) places emphasis on planning for each individual child, to make their learning meaningful for them.
To do this effectively we follow this procedure.
The key worker for the child:
makes observations on the child’s learning and development
records the child’s interests (this may be expressing an interest in an activity, recalling previous activities, bringing in things from home, talking about activities or events from home)
notes information given by family
notes how the child prefers to learn.
