From 1 January 2021, the UK have joined Interbus, which is an agreement that applies to international occasional (not scheduled) carriage of passengers by bus or coach. This agreement also covers the construction and use of buses and coaches as well as drivers hours regulations. Because the EU is a member of Interbus, this effectively means that there will be no change to the rules around these areas.
The UK and EU have also signed a Free Trade Agreement that covers the operation of Regular and Special Regular Services operating between the UK and the EU.
