Minor surgery refers to small-scale surgical interventions and procedures. Many of these procedures are commonly carried out in primary care or in community hospitals, minor injuries units and health centres. A number of procedures can be obtained privately at clinics.

Minor surgery in primary care community settings is usually undertaken by GPs with Extended Roles (GPwERs).
