The Secretariat of Labour and Social Welfare (Secretaria del Trabajo y Prevision Social) is the federal body responsible for the overall administration of health and safety matters.
Article 123 of the Constitution of Mexico places the burden upon employers to implement federal laws and legislative guarantees concerning health and safety in the workplace.
