Minimum period of exclusion


Exclusion until treatment has started. Medical treatment is effective in most cases. Children with infection or suspected infection should be referred to their own general practitioner.

Pediculosis (Lice)

Exclusion until treatment has been received. Family contacts should all receive treatment. The person should be checked following treatment to ensure the treatment has been effective.

Ringworm of feet (Athlete's foot)

Exclusion from barefoot activities is unnecessary but treatment is advisable.


Exclusion until treatment is started.


Exclude for one week after appearance of lesions. Susceptible contacts may get chickenpox.
