General Statement

All reasonable steps will be taken to identify potential legionellosis hazards in the workplace and to prevent or minimise the risk of exposure.

A suitable and sufficient risk assessment will be completed by a competent person, in line with best practice requirements.

Where a risk from legionella bacteria is identified, a competent person will be appointed in accordance with Health and Safety Executive requirements to undertake the necessary management actions required to manage the risk.

Where external third-parties are contracted to undertake a risk assessment and risk control measures (eg treatment and testing) all relevant due diligence checks will be completed.
