The UK ceased to be a Member State of the EU on 31 January 2020 and has entered a transition period that will end on 31 December 2020. The current rules will continue to apply during the transition period so businesses currently required to submit Intrastat declarations must continue to submit their declarations in the normal way until the end of 2020. New rules will take effect on 1 January 2021.
Intrastat is the name given to the method of collecting information and producing statistics on the movement of goods, not services, between Member States of the EU. In full it stands for Intra-Community Trade Statistics. Overview
