Employers' Duties

Employers have a duty to ensure that:

  • no candidate is treated less favourably in the recruitment and selection process on the grounds of age, sex, pregnancy or maternity, marriage or civil partnership status, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, or trade union membership or non-membership

  • all stages of the recruitment, selection, training and talent management process are monitored to ensure that there is no discriminatory treatment
