Social care providers in Wales must show compliance with the Regulated Services (Service Providers and Responsible Individuals) (Wales) Regulations 2017.
This checklist can be seen as a standalone tool for domiciliary support. Regulation 41 asks providers to prepare realistic schedules to ensure that care workers can meet service users’ care and support needs adequately. Regulation 42 is more of a human resource regulation to address zero-hours working by offering care workers a choice to have a permanent contract under the conditions spelled out in the regulation. It is important to study the regulation.
