The Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE) are the tools which inspectors use to assess compliance with the corresponding regulations, and usually to award a quality rating. CQC has developed a supplementary set of KLOE to look at how well care homes are carrying out infection prevention and control (IPC) measures during the Covid-19 outbreak. There are eight key questions each with a number of prompts.
