Employers have duties to consult employee or trade union representatives about certain collective redundancies (in addition to the employees themselves), business transfers, matters covered by information and consultation agreements, changes to pension schemes, health and safety matters and about matters covered in trade union and other staff consultation agreements. In some circumstances, multinational employers may also have duties to consult European Works Councils about certain matters which have transnational impact. Employers are also required to disclose relevant information.
