  • receive full training on health and safety matters when joining a new organisation

  • be granted full access to their new employer’s induction programme whether they work full-time or part-time

  • expect to be briefed fully on their employer’s policies, procedures, rules and practices soon after joining a new organisation

  • expect a reasonable degree of support from management and colleagues during the first few weeks of any new employment.

Employees have a duty to:

  • give support to colleagues who have recently joined the organisation or department, in order to help them settle into their new roles
