Line managers who have team members who work from home must understand the type of risks that they are exposed to and work with the homeworker to reduce the likelihood of them being harmed by their work while working in their own home. Line managers must ensure that the risks homeworkers are exposed to are analysed, homeworkers are trained appropriately and communication is maintained with the homeworker so that they do not feel isolated from those based in the employer’s workplace.
